What ChatGPT can do with QuickBooks today

Intuit's QuickBooks app runs inside ChatGPT for US users. Once you connect your QuickBooks account, you can ask about your finances in plain language and, since Intuit's July 2026 update, create and send invoices, work through quotes and estimates, add customers, send payment links and look up payroll details.

For a business already committed to QuickBooks, it is a genuinely useful front end. The books, the rules and the reporting all stay in QuickBooks, and ChatGPT reaches them through the app.

ChatGPT can work with QuickBooks through Intuit's QuickBooks app in ChatGPT: answering questions about your finances, creating and sending invoices, handling estimates, adding customers and sending payment links.

How do I connect ChatGPT to QuickBooks?

Open the QuickBooks app in ChatGPT, sign in with your Intuit account and grant access. To connect ChatGPT to Padrino instead, add the Padrino MCP server or give ChatGPT a Padrino API key.

Is there a QuickBooks plugin for ChatGPT?

Can ChatGPT reconcile my books?

Is ChatGPT a replacement for QuickBooks?
